Located on the bank of the Detroit River, Huntington Place is the centerpiece of Detroit’s Civic Center and the heart of the Motor City’s booming downtown development. The venue's 723,000 square feet of prime exhibit space in five exhibit halls rank the facility as the 17th largest convention center in the country. The DRCFA awarded Chemical Bank the naming rights to the center on February 20, 2019.
The center’s 100 meeting rooms with a total meeting room space of 225,000 square-feet.
Ballroom and Banquent Rooms
The Grand Riverview Ballroom is the largest in Michigan with 40,000 square-feet, divisble into smaller areas, and offering spectacular panoramic views of the Detroit River and across the river to our Canadian neighbors in Windsor, Ontario.
Concourse and Atrium
The 1,000-foot-long concourse atrium provides 100,000 square feet of pre-function space and an outstanding view of the downtown skyline. The 30,000 square-foot three story glass atrium provides flex space to meet all event needs.
Along with Huntington Place, the Civic Center complex includes Hart Plaza. This 14-acre riverfront park at the foot of Woodward Avenue in the heart of downtown is the site of a variety of summer-time entertainment and is available for use by conventions. Hart Plaza features open space for receptions and other gatherings, as well as a small amphitheater.
